Artist Bio & Featured Works

Luis ToledanoBorn in Mexico City in 1952. I went to art school from 1969 to 1972 at Escuela De Diseno Y Artesania Del Instituto Nacional De Las Bellas Artes S.E.P.

I took stained glass techniques and blacksmithing. I participated in a collective exposition in 1986 called "Segundo Mes Del Vidrio" at the Poliforum Cultural Siqueros, Mexico City.

I came to the United States of America in 1988 and started working in the glass industry learning techniques on heavt plate glass, such as cutting, drilling, notching and later on edgework and free form beveling. I became a naturalized citizen in 1999. My glass work is done by traditional glass cutting techniques, pressure and percussion.
